Privacy Policy
Fettled Ltd ("Fettled", "we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and how we look after it, in line with the Privacy Act 2020.
1.What we collect
When you request a booking through our website, we collect:
- Your name, email address, and phone number
- Your suburb (so we can confirm we cover your area and schedule a technician)
- The service you're after, your preferred day or time, and any details you give us about the job
During a Visit, we may also handle Wi-Fi passwords, streaming account logins, or other access details you give us so we can complete the work. This is covered separately under our Terms & Conditions (confidentiality clause).
2.Why we collect it
We use your information to:
- Contact you to confirm, reschedule, or follow up on a booking
- Send you a quote or invoice for Services
- Improve how we run visits (for example, knowing which suburbs we're getting the most bookings from)
We won't use your details to send marketing unless you've clearly agreed to it, and you can opt out at any time.
3.Who sees it
Our booking form is processed by a third-party form provider (Formspree), which securely delivers your submission to us by email. We don't sell, rent, or share your personal information with anyone else, except:
- Where we're required to by law
- Where it's needed to arrange a specific part of a job you've asked for (for example, referring you to a registered electrician for in-wall cabling)
4.How long we keep it
We keep booking and job information for as long as reasonably needed to provide the Services, honour our 90-day workmanship guarantee, and meet our tax and accounting obligations, after which it's deleted or securely archived.
5.Keeping your information secure
We take reasonable steps to keep your personal information secure, including limiting access to the people who need it to do the job. No online system is 100% secure, but we don't store your information anywhere beyond what's needed to run bookings and provide Services.
6.Your rights
Under the Privacy Act 2020, you have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, and to ask us to correct or delete it. To do this, contact us at kiaora@fettled.co.nz.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your personal information, you can also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.
7.Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be available on our website.
